Welcome to the Brown Family Homestead.
We appreciate you stopping by.
Hello and thanks for checking in about the Brown Family Homestead! We are a rustic, outdoor destination venue located on 15 private acres at the foot of Dirty Face Mountain, on the north side of Lake Wenatchee. The property is surrounded by trees, open meadows, the Cascades, historic buildings, and even a few Homestead animals. In addition to having a gorgeous (and meaningful) space, we pride ourselves on having an easy-going, nature-loving, organized team to show you around the homestead (or even to help plan your big day).
Meet the Team
We hope you will consider coming by for a tour. Just leave us your information on our “Contact Us” page and we’ll set something up!
Amanda McCargo, Owner
My name is Amanda McCargo, Owner here at the Brown Family Homestead. With several years of experience coordinating events and working in hospitality, I truly understand what it takes to pull a team of vendors together and execute a high-quality event. Not only do I work at the Homestead, but I recently planned my own 2021 wedding in the midst of this pandemic, so I get the hardships of planning a wedding right now. My experience will help to make sure that your big day captures the unique love that you and your partner share. Aside from my work in events, I am a mom, animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and PNW native.
Kailen Duffield, Wedding Coordinator
Hi, I’m Kailen Duffield. With a deep connection to the local community and a passion for creating unforgettable events, I bring both creativity and attention to detail to my wedding coordination services. As a mother of two boys and a seasoned property manager, I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and organization. My experience coordinating weddings and owning a custom house design and drafting company has taught me how to turn a couple’s vision into reality while ensuring every aspect runs smoothly. I look forward to working under the craggy peak of Dirtyface Mountain at the beautiful homestead, where I combine my love for event planning with my personal commitment to making every wedding day special. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, I’m dedicated to offering a seamless, stress-free experience for every couple. I can’t wait to meet you!
Karen Dickinson, Homestead Owner
Hi, I am Karen Dickinson (Brown), this generation’s custodian of the Brown Family Homestead. The Browns came to this valley in 1902, and this very special property has been in my family ever since. We’ve been doing our own weddings here for generations, and we’re delighted to have opened our doors to other families... Over the last ten years, it’s been my pleasure and honor to organize weddings in our beautiful valley. We offer simple country weddings for couples who find more beauty in each other, and a mountain meadow, than they find in pricey city venues. In addition to helping plan special moments, I spend much of my time with my family enjoying the outdoors.
